Focused Accountability, Intervention, and Restoration Efforts
The Garland Police Department has the responsibility of protecting our community from violent crime. Among our many violence reduction efforts is the FAIRE program. FAIRE stands for Focused Accountability, Intervention, and Restoration Efforts. The mission of the FAIRE program is to reduce violent crime by identifying and appropriately addressing the City of Garland’s most frequent and recent violent adult offenders, and then connecting them with resources to change their behavior.
What should someone expect after receiving a F.A.I.R.E. Notice?
The violent adult offender can expect collective efforts from the Garland Police Department, the Dallas County District Attorney, and our Community Partners to help them end their trend of violent crime. Sometimes people commit crimes for underlying reasons that have little or nothing to do with the actual crime.
We have developed partnerships with organizations such as Unlocking Doors to provide important resources to connect the individuals involved with a personalized plan to resolve underlying issues, such as job placement, transportation, housing, and mental wellness.
